Running With A Cold

Ran yesterday afternoon with a cold ... not a bad one, but enough for me to consider not running at all.

I'm glad I did though. The 14 miles acceleration seemed remarkably easy. I've no idea why, once again everything fell into place despite me not feeling too well.

First mile was 8:10 and then I gradually upped the pace and the last mile was timed at 7:10.

Lots of liquids and lots of vitamin C is still the order of the day but it appears that this cold won't be disrupting my training anytime soon. This morning's pulse was back up a bit after falling yesterday though.

I've just read Dan Rose's blog and it would seem that other people have far more important injuries/illnesses to worry about than my cold.

Quite right too ... stop whinging Chris
